On this episode, I have the pleasure of interviewing Scott Tucker from Be Financially Fit, and author of "From Deployment to Dollars"...which he's giving away for free to the FW Podcast listeners! Scott served as an officer in the Army after graduating from West Point. His service took him to Iraq, Germany, and many other adventures before he found his calling as a financial planner.
He’s devoted himself to helping service members intentionally transition out of the military. During our talk, Scott discusses why now is the time to think about becoming a civilian because we will all hold that title regardless of how long we choose to serve our country. We ALL become civilians eventually.
This episode is packed with useful content that will serve you well during your Air Force career regardless if you are just beginning or you're reaching your 20 year mark.
Some of the biggest things that I took away from this very informative interview was:
1. Networking is SO important, and will serve you well after you separate. Do not under estimate the value of your connections.
2. Do not limit yourself by your rank or your job. Look beyond those limiting beliefs and be creative in how brand yourself. You are more than your rank or job…
3. Take advantage of ALL the Air Force has to offer, because the Air Force will take all they need from you! It is a symbiotic relationship!
